This section explains how site operators can deal with a red screen on a WordPress site that says “This site may cause damage to your computer.
Why is this message displayed?
This warning is displayed on your browser when Google detects a site that may install malicious software on your computer if you access it.
If this warning appears when you visit your company’s site, the site has most likely been hacked/altered and infected with malware.
How do I get rid of the red screen warning, “This site may damage your computer?”
First, check to see if the URL field of the browser that is displaying this warning screen is your company’s domain.
If it is not, it is likely that your site has been tampered with through a very common type of redirect hack, which forcibly redirects the user to an unauthorized software distribution source (a different URL) when the user asks for your company’s site.
If this is the case with your URL, it means that Goole has registered your site as a dangerous site, and in addition to removing malware and tampering from the site, you will also need to apply to have your site re-reviewed.
(Please refer to the section on “Site Re-review Application”).
Malware Inspection and Removal
The easiest way to inspect and remove malware is to use a WordPress plugin.
If you are unable to log in to the admin panel or are unable to use some of the admin panel functions, you may be infected with a type of malware that rewrites HTACCESS to alienate WordPress admin functions.

Even if the malware is removed, if the vulnerability of the site that allowed the hacker to invade remains, the hacker may become the best friend again and return to the same state.
We recommend that you also take measures to secure your site.
